Which Injectable is appropriate for you?

Understanding the nuances between Botox, Nuceiva and Dysport can help you make informed decisions about your aesthetic journey. While all three injectables target dynamic wrinkles and fine lines, they differ in formulations and action onset. One notable distinction lies in their protein structures. Additionally, onset times vary slightly, with Dysport often exhibiting quicker results due to its smaller molecular size. Ultimately, the choice between these injectables depends on factors such as personal preference, treatment goals and practitioner's recommendation, ensuring a tailored approach to your unique aesthetic needs.

Dermal Fillers

Volume loss is one of the main culprits of deepening wrinkles and furrows. Dermal fillers add plumpness to the skin, eliminating moderate and harsh wrinkles for a younger-looking appearance.

What Are Dermal Fillers?

Dermal fillers are injectable substances that reduce the appearance of age lines on different parts of the face. They can also restore volume to depressed areas and improve lip volume.

Dermal fillers such as Juvederm™ are gels made of a natural sugar material which is injected under the skin to add volume and support to the facial structures. There are numerous uses for fillers including:

Depressions in the temples
Nose
Under the eyes/tear troughs
Cheeks
Lips
Jaw and chin
Nasolabial folds (fold between cheek and upper lip)
Marionette lines (fold between lower cheek and lower lip/chin)

The list above is not comprehensive but include the most common areas. Fillers are designed to add volume in key areas to achieve the aesthetic goal. Fillers can be used to provide support, camouflage bumps and depressions, smoothen lines, elongate the chin, just to name a few uses. Fillers are temporary materials and the body absorbs the product after a certain period of time which depends on the product (approximate range 6-12 month).

Am I a Good Candidate for Dermal Fillers?

If you want to reduce the visible signs of aging without undergoing invasive procedures, then you may be an ideal candidate for dermal fillers. It is important for patients to have realistic expectations and a positive outlook.

Lipolysis Injection

Lipolysis is a non-surgical treatment that dissolves localized fat deposits which are not responsive to diet and exercise. It is not a weight loss treatment, but a body shaping treatment. Clinically, Lipolysis has been found to be safe and effective with virtually no downtime. This treatment is quite popular in Europe, and it is often referred to as the non-surgical liposuction or the liposuction alternative. It can give effective body fat reduction without the risk of surgery. The Lipolysis treatments use a combination of phosphatidylcholine and deoxycholic acid, which are natural occurring substances in our body. Phosphatidylcholine is also known as lecithin, which can be harvested soybeans.

Lipolysis is commonly used to treat double chins, jowls, upper arms, bra rolls, abdomen, inner thighs, outer thighs, hips, love handles, knees, cellulite reduction, and male breast, gynecomastia.

Lipolysis treatments consist of a series of microinjections to the desired areas of fat deposition. It is a relative painless procedure. The treatments are usually spaced 2-4 weeks apart with most patients reaching their desired goal in 2-6 treatments. The fat is broken down, and it is natural eliminated by your body. Lipolysis offers body contouring with fat reduction and skin tightening. The treatments are well tolerated by most people; some individuals may report a slight burning sensation, mild bruising, minor swelling, and minimal tenderness that may last 1-5 days.

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)

Platlet Rich Plasma (PRP) treatment is a leading non-surgical procedure, that utilizes blood plasma safely extracted from the patient’s own body, which is then separated and enriched through the use of a centrifuge. This procedure has a variety of uses, including skin/facial rejuvenation, as well as hair restoration.

Skin/Facial Rejuvenation

PRP treatments begin with the injection of the enriched plasma into problematic areas of the skin that have been damaged by aging and/or exposure to the sun. The platelets then stimulate the production of key healing enzymes and proteins, while attracting stem cells and other beneficial agents. The result is an overall rejuvenating impact that can improve the texture and thickness of the skin, while addressing such issues as wrinkling, thinness, and fine lines. PRP treatments are used for rejuvenating the skin on the cheeks and the mid-facial area, the neck, below the eyes, the lower portion of the neckline (décolletage), and elsewhere. It can also reduce the visibility of scar tissue.

PRP treatments offer natural looking results that delight the vast majority of patients. Downtime is minimal and any side effects are typically minor and short-term. Most treatments take approximately 45 minutes.
Additionally, PRP can be used as an effective hair restoration treatment for both women and men. Many patients seeking a non-surgical treatment for thinning hair or a receding hairline.
